Magnificent set of two cups and their matching saucers made of genuine Limoges porcelain, signed by the luxury manufacturer "Legle Porcelaine d'Art". French artisanal production. These exceptional pieces feature a deep imperial green colour, enhanced by very rich gold gilding. The interior of the cups is entirely lined with gold, offering an unmatched brilliance. A decoration of gilded baroque friezes adorns the exterior of the cups and the rim of the saucers. Excellent condition (no chips, no cracks, gilding perfectly preserved). 22-carat gold: these cups have what is called a "gold interior". This means that a significant amount of liquid gold has been applied with a brush and then fired. It is not just simple gold paint, but a layer of precious metal. Agate burnishing: To achieve this shiny, mirror-like appearance on the inside, the gold must be polished by hand with an agate stone or hematite. This is a very lengthy artisanal process.
