Set of 2 mid-century modern scandinavian hand-painted birch cabinet & sideboard, 1960s

This modernist set of two cabinets was manufactured in scandinavia during the 1960s. The set has been finished with birch with an irregular, strong grain and a brown-earth tones. Both pieces have a pair of sliding doors with hand-painted, geometric pattern combining shades of blue and gold. It has oblong and rectangular handles made of solid wood and turned legs. It is a graphically pleasing composition. The set has been partially renovated, with the observance of natural patina and in accordance with the rules of the upcycled vintage art. This set is a vintage piece that has been altered from its original state through artistic interventions, such as hand-painted finishes or compositions parts from different original vintage objects. The form is original and comes from the 20th century. All works have been made-up by traditional methods and support the zero waste idea. Cabinets dimensions: height 144 cm|width 110 cm|depth 34 cm.
