Set of furniture from the Charles X period.

Set of furniture from the Charles X period in maple, comprising a commode with a rounded front and a drop-front secretary, topped with Saint Cyr marble surfaces. This set features beautiful woodwork with symmetrical patterns, highlighting warm tones. The bronze handles and keyholes provide a refined finish: swans with outstretched wings. The secretary opens to reveal an interior fitted with small drawers and storage compartments, with a writing surface covered in aged leather, worn by time. The commode offers three spacious and functional large drawers plus one with a rounded front. Commode dimensions: Width: 120 cm. Height: 90 cm. Depth: 48 cm. Secretary dimensions: Width: 90 cm. Height: 145 cm. Depth: 42 cm. Overall good condition with signs of use and a slight patina of time, consistent with its age. Some visible marks on the interior leather and minor discreet wear on the veneer, without detracting from the charm of the set. Accidents and missing parts.
