Small living room cabinet in mahogany, in the Louis XVI style, opening with a sliding curtain made of fine horizontal slats, fitted with brass knobs, revealing a storage space. Inside, two small symmetrical drawers with a speckled maple front, adorned with wooden knobs, are topped by a central niche. Each side of the cylinder is enhanced by a wide striated brass applique, adding a precious decorative touch. The pedestal top is highlighted with ingot moulds and topped with a red marble from Maine, encircled by an elegant openwork brass gallery. This piece also includes a drawer with a front enhanced by a brass fillet and a matching pull knob. It rests on four tapered legs with brass fluting, adorned with a wide collar at the top and finished with brass hooves. Harmonious and refined, this quality piece is appealing for its functionality and ideal proportions. Period: 2nd half of the 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Waxed finish.
