Superb Scandinavian side table / bar cabinet by Rolf Rastad & Adolf Relling for Rasmus Solberg consisting of a circular top, half of which lifts up and opens onto a rotating box that can hold bottles and 16 glasses. This particularly original and ingenious system, first designed for a sewing table and then adapted into a bar, won first prize at the Norwegian Design Competition in 1962. High-quality construction in Rio rosewood with brass hinges, a rotating PVC box and 16 crystal glasses.
