An Art Nouveau sugar bowl from Sweden, dated to the early 20th century, made of metal with a cool, silver-grey finish. The vessel's surface is adorned with a bold, wide frieze featuring a decorative, embossed plant and floral motif, characteristic of Art Nouveau – with typical symmetry and flowing ornamental lines. The body is set on a slender, slightly raised foot, and the whole is topped with a curved, delicate handle in the same colour. The exterior texture combines matte, patinated surfaces with local highlights, especially in areas of frequent touch or polishing. A uniform patina and minor scratches emphasise the age and authenticity of the item. No major damage or signs of restoration. Preserved in very good condition, with natural signs of age. This piece tells the story of the early 20th century, when Scandinavian Art Nouveau sought harmony between functionality and decorative imagination. Its lines and details refer to the extensive, flowing ornaments that dominated artistic craftsmanship at the time. It shows a love for the rhythm of plant motifs, masterfully translated into the cool sheen of metal – the sugar bowl seems to whisper of moments of celebration at the table, where art and everyday life met without artificial distance. This sugar bowl can be displayed on a classic wooden console or among Art Nouveau tableware, creating a small period accent in a refined arrangement. It works perfectly alongside porcelain with geometric or organic patterns, and also as a central detail on a tray with other metal items from the early 20th century. In eclectic interiors, it is worth combining it with vessels from different decades, highlighting its historical character and decorative potential.
