Large Cylindrical Polychrome Ceramic Vase Harlequin Decor Vintage 70s

Cylindrical ceramic art vase in polychrome with harlequin/scales decoration, probably French or Mediterranean work from the second half of the 20th century (Mid-Century period / 1960s-1970s). Hand-painted geometric decoration featuring patterns reminiscent of fish scales or a harlequin motif, presented in a harmony of red, blue, green, yellow, and ochre on a light background. Handcrafted piece with variations in colour and glaze texture, incised signature directly under the base (artist/workshop unidentified). This very beautiful vintage vase with a graphic and modernist style fits within the aesthetic of 70s art ceramics and popular workshop craftsmanship (possible Vallauris influence).
