Thick glass lampshade – 1950s/60s

Very beautiful vintage lampshade in transparent moulded glass, notable for its thickness of about 5 mm and its particularly graphic geometric design. The surface is structured with vertical panels, featuring fine regular ribs that create a very elegant prismatic effect. When light passes through the glass, the relief multiplies the reflections and gives the light fixture a stunning presence, equally interesting when off as when on. The slightly flared shape, softened angles, and quality of the glass evoke the moulded glass light fixtures from the Mid-Century period. No signature or manufacturer's mark is visible on the piece; therefore, I do not attribute it to any particular manufacturer. Dimensions: H 13 cm · Ø top 9.5 cm · Ø bottom 11 cm · glass thickness approx. 5 mm. Dating: around 1950–1960, possibly early 1960s. It can be used as a pendant, wall light, table lamp, or custom lighting creation. Its small size also allows for the idea of a composition of several lampshades. Sold with socket and wire clamp, without wiring to allow for choice of cord and colour. Very good overall condition, with no visible cracks or breaks. Price: €59.
