Dresser by Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepozitek for Jitona

This mid century sideboard was designed by the czech furniture designers bohumil landsman and hubert nepozitek. It was manufactured in 1960’s czechoslovakia by jitona, a company specialising in high quality furniture made mainly for export outside czechoslovakia. This piece is made of solid ash and the charm of this sideboard lies in the elegant proportions and subtle detailing. Dressers that could store duvets and pillows were a very popular and an useful type of furniture so lots of different designs can be found. Even though the dressers aren’t used for this purpose as much these days, this particular piece is still a very attractive useful piece. This piece is in its great original state showing only minor natural wear and tear on the fabric and on wooden parts. The fabric has been recently professionally cleaned and the wooden surface polished.
