Very pretty antique compote in English ironstone, model Lima, with refined black decoration featuring a Greek frieze and floral motifs. Imported by Hippolyte Boulenger for his Parisian depot at 17 rue Drouot, as indicated by the stamp present under the piece. There is also a partially erased English registered design mark, datable to around 1868, which adds real charm and beautiful authenticity to this 19th-century piece. A lovely antique item perfect as a centrepiece, fruit bowl, or vintage/country kitchen decoration. Overall good condition: no chips, no cracks. There is an old stain in the centre as well as signs of wear and a lovely patina from time, see photos. Dimensions: diameter of the plate: 24 cm; total height: 14.5 cm; diameter of the base: 12 cm; weight: 870 g.
