Icon of Reconstruction design, this large living room (or side table) lamp is a creation by Charles Dudouyt from the 1940s-1950s. Displaying a very modernist line and a pronounced rustic Art Deco style, it asserts its sculptural presence thanks to its remarkable height of 105 cm. A strong piece, ideal for adding a warm and graphic touch to a contemporary interior or a chic brutalist decor. ✨ Features & Design: Designer: Charles Dudouyt. Era: 1940s / 1950s (Reconstruction Period) Style: Art Deco / Modernist / Brutalist. Material: Stained solid oak, revealing a superb ramified and curved grain, enhanced by its original varnished patina. Architectural base: Central cylindrical shaft with clean, tapered lines. It rests on a thick, bombé, fluted circular base in the shape of a disc, stabilised by protruding wooden pads, an iconic visual signature of the designer's work. Shade: Large original cylindrical shade in textured beige fabric (jute-like), mounted on a metal lyre, diffusing a soft and enveloping light. 📐 Dimensions: Total height: 105 cm. 🛠️ Condition: Structure: Excellent general condition. The wood is perfectly sound, robust, and retains a beautiful shine. Note discreet micro-scratches and superficial signs of aging on the varnish of the base, witnesses to its authenticity and history.
