Monoxyle lamp base in elm burl, Anonymous craftsmanship, 1960s

Lamp base in monoxyl wood, most likely elm burl given the characteristic grain. An oblong shape and above all, its patina, with burnt caramel highlights. A beautiful work of form, material and time. Dimensions: ≃ H28 X Ø15 cm A knot filled by adding clay (see photos), some fine cracks previously stabilized, also with clay. The general condition is very good. Has benefited from a waxed finish. Re-electrified. Delivered without lampshade.
