A modernist oak cabinet, its front adorned with an elegant circular medallion wrapped in leather. This detail is emblematic of the decorative craftsmanship of the 1930s and 40s and a clear nod to the style of Charles Dudouyt. The compact and sturdy structure is crafted entirely from solid oak with a harmoniously matched veneer. The single door, framed by a simple molding, highlights the large central disc of smooth leather, bordered by a decorative trim that accentuates the relief and creates a subtle interplay between wood and other materials. The cabinet rests on a molded base composed of two lateral blocks and a recessed cylindrical element in the center. This base ensures perfect stability while asserting a resolutely modernist silhouette, somewhere between Art Deco lines and the functionalist furniture of the 1940s. The beautiful, warm, and even patina of the oak, the result of natural aging and careful maintenance, is particularly appealing. Inside, there's a practical storage space, ideal for a bedroom (as a bedside table), living room, or office. Dimensions: H 100 cm – W 78 cm – D 44 cm.
