This exceptional teak table is a rare and highly sought-after piece, designed in the 1950s by the legendary Jens Harald Quistgaard for IHQ (Dansk Designs). Originally created as the main table of his innovative sliding nesting set, this large table can also serve as a low and elegant console, an entry table, or a long coffee table. Design and features: Entirely made from premium Danish teak, the table showcases a warm golden-brown patina and elegant linear grain. It features Quistgaard's characteristic minimalist aesthetic, with its clean architectural lines, rectangular top, and legs integrated into the structure. A testament to its mid-20th-century heritage and ingenious design, the underside of the table retains its original wooden guide rails, precisely machined and designed to allow the smaller tables of the set to slide and lock perfectly underneath. Designer: Jens Harald Quistgaard. Manufacturer: IHQ / Dansk Designs. Origin: Denmark. Design period: 1950s. Materials: Solid teak and teak veneer. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The teak exhibits a beautiful natural sheen and slight signs of wear, normal for its age, which attest to its mid-20th-century authenticity.
