Wooden slatted display bench or support, France circa 1960.

Very nice little wooden bench from the 1960s. Probably originally a display stand, it features several stamped marks from the Société Marcel Gras in Sète (see photos), a company founded in 1960 and since closed, specialising in the production and sale of Mediterranean regional products. Made entirely of waxed beech wood, its slatted seat measures 80 cm in width and 38 cm in depth at a height of 40 cm. In very good used condition with a lovely honey-toned patina, this little bench would be ideal in an entrance hall for putting on shoes or placing bags.
