History & Quality: Purchased raw (bare wood) about fifty years ago, they have been fully upholstered and covered to measure by a professional. The upholstery work is of excellent artisanal quality. Materials: Stable carved solid wood structure, very elegant and warm deep red/burgundy velvet fabric. Finish: Neat finish with a border of aged brass upholstery nails. Comfort: Very comfortable, generous and enveloping seat with a thick removable cushion. Condition: Very well maintained, the wood is solid and the fabric is in superb condition (non-smoking home).
