Venetian console in Louis XV style – Carved, lacquered, and gilded wood – Top in red marble Spectacular Louis XV style console, richly carved and openwork, resting on four curved legs joined by a substantial stretcher. The belt, with a scalloped shape, features an abundant rocaille decoration composed of shells, scrolls, foliage, flowers, and volutes, with a remarkable openwork lattice motif at the centre surmounting a large shell. The strongly curved legs are also adorned with leaf and flower sculptures. They are joined by a highly ornate stretcher, centred with a large rocaille composition. The whole presents an elegant celadon lacquer finish enhanced with gilding, offering a beautiful contrast and particularly highlighting the richness of the sculpture. It is topped with a significant red marble top veined with white, moulded and scalloped, perfectly following the movements of the belt. A particularly decorative console, with generous proportions, ideal for an entrance, a large living room, or a characterful home.
