Louis-Philippe wardrobe from German origin, made in the mid-19th century. A model of great elegance characterised by curved and sinuous lines typical of the style of the period. The large moulded door panels highlight the natural and contrasting grain of the solid ash. The upper cornice is topped with a sculpted shell/rocaille pediment typical of the neo-Rococo repertoire. The piece has undergone a complete and rigorous restoration in cabinetmaking and shellac varnish finishing. The modular structure is sound, rigid, and perfectly stable. The doors and drawers are perfectly fitted, and the period locks are functional. The minute traces of time testify to its historicity and give it a noble patina without altering its use or aesthetics. Not used since its restoration, ready for immediate installation.
