This large modernist solid oak coffee table is sure to add an element of french brutalism to any living room. It was made in france by an unknown cabinetmaker in the 1960s. It presents a large varnished top in petrified wood and slate marquetry resting on a brutalist solid oak wood base. This coffee table is a wonderful example of french modernism from the 1950s and 1960s, and is reminiscent of the pieces of charlotte perriand and pierre chapo. It has been completely restored and refinished, and is in superb condition. A monumental table, rare in these dimensions, which can be placed as a centerpiece in a living room.
