Designed by Ib Kofod Larsen and produced by Faarup Møbelfabrik in Denmark in the 1960s, this table exemplifies the finest of Scandinavian design: absolute functionality, adorned with beauty. The stamp "Made in Denmark — Faarup Møbelfabrik" engraved under the central beam attests to its origin. Kofod Larsen (1921–2003) is among the great names in Danish furniture, recognised for the finesse of his volumes and his unwavering respect for wood. The edge of the tabletop is treated with a curved arc in solid Brazilian rosewood — a technical detail that creates a play of depth between the grain of the wood and the counterpoint. The four tapered legs in solid rosewood slightly flare at the base of the apron — a play of curves that makes the assembly almost invisible.
