Large antique French work table dating from around 1750–1850, made of solid oak. The table was originally used in a shop or workshop and features a long rectangular shape supported by six turned oak legs. The panelled top consists of wide oak boards framed. A large drawer with a brass handle provides practical storage space. Several old workshop or inventory stamps are present on the table, including the date 1908. These later markings testify to its history and continued commercial use, but do not correspond to the date of manufacture. We have raised the table to a comfortable dining height while preserving its original construction and character. With a length of nearly three metres, it can now be used as a large dining table for approximately 12 to 14 people. It is also suitable as a large shop display table, work table, or kitchen table. The oak shows wear consistent with its age and previous use, including marks, scratches, colour variations, and old repairs. Dimensions Width: 298 cm Depth: 75 cm Height: 78 cm Height under the top: 62 cm Weight: approx. 75 kg
