Italian floor-model upright phonograph cabinet, 1900s

Italian floor-model upright phonograph cabinet, 1900s. Only the cabinet. Inside featuring a brass retailer label from Guido Marchi (located at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele 1, Firenze), dating back to the early 20th century (circa 1900s–1930s) and Columbia Records granfonola. Lifts open to access the internal mechanics. A small pair of upper doors opens to reveal the internal horn or acoustic louvers used for volume control. The interior shelf is with some defects on the wood surface (seen on photos). A larger lower compartment doors typically served as a storage area for record albums. Supported by four slender, curved legs characteristic of period furniture integration. Polished mahogany wooden casing with characteristic brass hinges and winding/control holes. In good condition, consistent to its age and use. Measurements: width 55cm x depth 51cm x height 118cm Made in Italy.
