Louis XV extendable oval dining table in solid wood with marquetry, 270cm.

1950s Louis XV style dining table made of wood. The top, in very good condition, features a superb herringbone marquetry design with a frieze border. It is an Italian-style extension table. The extensions are integrated beneath the main top and can be pulled out to increase seating capacity from 6 to 10 guests. It has S-shaped cabriole legs typical of the Louis XV style, finished with small scrolls. The table's apron is carved with a central shell surrounded by foliage (rocaille), a classic motif of this period. Length without extensions 170 cm, length with 2 extensions 270 cm, width 105 cm, height 78 cm.
