Victorian English two-body buffet with cherry wood on marble display case from the 19th century.

Two-piece buffet of English origin, Victorian style, 19th century, made of solid cherry wood with a beautiful old patina. The upper section features a display cabinet with two glass doors with small panes, adorned with gilt bronze handles with a palmette motif, topped with a veined black marble surface. The lower section includes a central drawer with a leaf-patterned bronze lock entry and two round bronze knobs, opening onto a buffet with two solid wood doors with moulded panels. The entire piece rests on four slightly tapered turned legs. This type of furniture, combining a display cabinet with a low buffet, is very characteristic of English cabinetry from the Victorian era, understated and functional, made from natural fruitwood. A beautiful piece for a dining room or living room, elegant and practical. Condition: see photos.
