Beautiful Japanese Satsuma earthenware plate circa 1900, hand-decorated in warm tones with reds, ochres, whites and gilding. The scene depicts two figures in imperial attire surrounded by floral and geometric motifs, with slightly raised highlights typical of export Satsuma pieces. Fine cracks and patina of time on the reverse, evidence of its authenticity. No chips or cracks, perfectly legible and bright decoration.
