Kutahya collector's plate with Iznik Ottoman motifs

Collectible ceramic plate from iznik. Handmade and decorated in turkey. Signed. Characteristic: turkish enamels as famous as our longwy enamels. Decor in perfect but there is a lack on the edge of the plate. Small price to compensate. Dimensions: 22.5 cm diameter. Origins of this ceramic - if you are interested: A jewel of ottoman refinement, iznik ceramics are covered with a white (earthy) coating, on which is added a lead-bearing glaze giving it an incomparable shine. The anthology of arabesques and palms is a constant in iznik's ornamental repertoire. The decoration of "four flowers", developed from 1560, is most abundant. Irradiating the entire surface of the dish, it consists of stems of tulip, carnation, rosehip and hyacinth, embellished with rosebuds. Postal delivery anywhere in france, belgium and europe.
