French leather club chair normandy model c1910-1930

This is a stunning and quite sophisticated early normandy model. The leather, in its original condition, is perfect. The close stud-work, in patinated brass, coupled with the deep tone of the leather makes this chair really easy on the eye. It has turned, front feet, possibly in walnut, which are just lovely. Alas, the original velvet cushion did not last the test of time, so has been replaced with a very high quality luxurious cotton velvet in midnight blue with a goose-down filler. This is very lovely chair.
