Kai Kristiansen shelving unit, set of 6 shelves, FM Møbler, Denmark 1960s

This shelving unit, designed by Kai Kristiansen for FM Møbler in the 1960s, shows the mastery of Danish mid-century craftsmanship. Featuring six shelves, it provides an elegant and functional space for storage and books. As with all Kai Kristiansen’s furniture, it has a sculpture-like sophisticated form. It is an entirely modular shelving system. All components are 85.5 cm wide and can be arranged as needed with an easy system of metal baskets fitting into the rails, moving all parts up and down, and interchanging them. This set will add some mid-century modern style to your living room, hallway or any other interior. This set consists of: • six shelves 24 cm deep. • three metal rails 149, 5 cm long each. The unit has been renovated. All components fit together. We have cleaned the wood and protected it with Danish oil. Overall, the set is in excellent vintage condition with absolutely minor signs of use. The manufacturer’s label is well-preserved. We have over 200 Danish shelves from the mid-20th century.
