Napoleon III period jardinière in marquetry - 19th century

Very elegant planter from the Napoleonic III period (circa 1860-1880) in wood marquetry with a geometric trompe-l'œil design forming cubes. Beautiful decoration of gilded bronze with side handles and an openwork gallery. Curved shape resting on small feet. Inner basin made of metal. A typical decorative piece from the Second Empire, ideal on a console, a fireplace, or as a centrepiece with plants or a floral arrangement. In good overall condition with a patina of time that gives it a lot of charm. Marquetry with oblique cubes in trompe-l'œil.
