18th-century Italian console in gilded wood with a marble top.

Robust Italian console from the 18th century, with an exquisite gilded wooden base supporting its thick original white marble top. The monochrome stone features delicate grey veining across the entire surface, with signs of use and age. The deep apron is adorned with festoons of vine leaves anchored at the centre by a relief panel with a scroll motif and sunflower rosettes at the corners. Four muscular legs, carved with fluting and dagger leaf tips, end in delicate feet at the ground. This masterpiece of furniture will astonish in any interior. We estimate that this item is in good condition considering its age.
