Teak dining table by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors, Sweden, 1961

Oval teak top with rounded ends, supported by four slender, slightly tapered legs. Designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors, marked and dated 1961. The large oval teak top characterizes this table by Bertil Fridhagen, with a broad, continuous surface ending in two softly rounded ends. The teak grain runs across the top, creating a graphic rhythm that contrasts with its longitudinal form. The structure below remains light and understated, with four slender, slightly tapered legs connected by a recessed apron. The generous surface and restrained base achieve a balance rooted in the quality of the wood and the precision of the proportions. The original Bodafors mark is preserved beneath the top, bearing the inscription “Design B. Fridhagen – Made in Sweden 1961”, allowing the piece to be precisely dated. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG347
