Manufacturer’s mark present. Model "83" lounge chair designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel and produced by S.W. Møbler, a Danish manufacturer active in the post-war period. Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel are among the most significant figures in 20th-century Scandinavian design. Working across furniture, textile and industrial design, they developed an approach focused on comfort and the relationship between form and the human body, with particular attention to seating. This model, dating from the 1960s, features a wooden structure with angled legs and a wraparound backrest that follows the line of the seat, creating a continuous form. Seat and backrest are upholstered and reupholstered in light-colored bouclé fabric. Manufacturer’s mark present on the frame: S.W. Møbler – Vejen, Denmark. Good condition. May show signs of age.
