Born in bodio near varèse, italy in 1903, he arrived with his parents in rupt-sur-moselle three months later. There he completed his primary studies, then moved to melun at the school of decoration of the building in order to become a craftsman painter decorator. It will adorn many houses and their interiors with garlands of flowers, murals, frescoes depicting landscapes. But it is the coming retirement that his passion for drawing and painting on the motif will be fully realized. Together with his friend marcel levieux, watercolourist, he will travel the roads of france and immortalize on his canvases the most beautiful sites of aveyron, corrèze, the maritime alps, brittany, normandy, alsace, franche-comté and of course the vosges. Its dear moselle valley and its charming village of rupt remain the favourite theme of its palette each season. He participated in local exhibitions: first prize in fougerolles in 1964.plombières dedicated an exhibition to him in 1988.
