Martinelli Luce — Vintage table lamp “Radar” Mod. 676 — Made in Italy

Table lamp ‘676 Radar’ by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce, Italy, 1970s. Large circular shade in methacrylate supported by three black metal arms elegantly extending from a conical lacquered aluminium base. Original label intact (MOD. 676, 220V 1x100W, Made in Italy, TÜV/GS certified). Fully functional. The shade shows slight superficial marks visible only in low light, inherent to the charm and patina of a piece over fifty years old. Style: Italian Modernism, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age. Material: Methacrylate, lacquered aluminium, metal. Colour: Ivory white and black. Designer: Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce, an Italian company founded in Lucca in 1950, whose works are included in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
