6 Italian plates in glazed earthenware, produced in the 1970s. Each piece is hand-painted using the traditional hand decorato technique, making each design unique: the shades of pink, the petals, and the shadows vary slightly from one plate to another, revealing the decorator's touch. The motif of white roses on a fuchsia wash illustrates the distinctly Italian taste for expressive flowers and chromatic contrasts that characterise decorative ceramics from the 60s and 70s. The CAPA workshops in San Polo, located in the Veneto region, not far from Venice, were particularly renowned for their contemporary floral designs, blending artisanal precision with the brilliance of industrial glazes. This series showcases that craftsmanship: a fine paste, a glossy glaze, and bright colours inspired by the dolce vita. Stamped Ceramica CAPA – San Polo (Veneto, Italy) Diameter 25.5 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, very shiny, with age-related crazing, slight variations due to handwork, one plate has a small chip on the underside that is barely visible when the plate is placed down, and one has a mini chip on the edge (see photos). A series with a pronounced artistic charm, ideal for a table designed as a setting, in a guesthouse or a restaurant with understated elegance (possibility to complement this lot for table harmonisation).
