Folding sofa bed Canapé banquette Interier Praha 1960 floral pattern fabric

Vintage convertible daybed in pure Mid-Century style, manufactured in the 1960s in former Czechoslovakia by the renowned design cooperative Interier Praha (like the famous creations of Jiri Jiroutek). This model is particularly sought after for its timeless and minimalist lines that fit perfectly into a contemporary or Scandinavian interior. Structure: The sofa rests on a robust solid beech wood frame and legs, featuring a beautiful warm honey hue. The streamlined lines and curved side panels give it a dynamic silhouette typical of Eastern European furniture from that era. Modularity & Practicality: Ultra-functional, this model is a true Swiss Army knife of the living room. It offers excellent seating for three on a daily basis. The seat unfolds thanks to a sliding system, instantly transforming the sofa into a comfortable guest bed. Upholstery & Tapestry: The sofa showcases its original textured fabric with a retro floral pattern in autumnal tones (terracotta, orange, brown, beige), highlighted by an elegant bright red piping that structures the cushions. Note for the buyer: The wooden structure is ideal if you also wish to have it reupholstered to your taste with a boucle fabric or a contemporary solid wool! In very good original condition.
