Large painting urban scene oil on wood framed John Haanstra vintage

Superb large vintage painting from the 60s-80s by John Haanstra, a Dutch painter, depicting a colourful winter urban scene in a street with pretty buildings populated by small figures strolling and shopping. Very fine details, magnificent technique, beautiful light. Oval format, wooden frame, gilded with gold leaf in rococo/art nouveau style. 61x50cm, 2.5cm thick, with frame; 50x40cm without frame. In very good condition, nothing notable apart from a few small scratches and signs of age on the frame, discreet and harmonious. Approximately 2kg.
