Pretty little oval tray made of painted tin, dated from the early 20th century (1900 - 1920), distributed by the famous Parisian store Le Printemps. It features a deep red background, enhanced by a central floral decoration depicting a basket of flowers, framed by a golden vegetal frieze. The decoration is applied by transfer, with golden highlights, typical of the decorative productions of the Belle Époque. The paint and varnish show an old patina with slight wear and cracks, consistent with the age of the object, which gives it a lot of charm. Originally, this type of tray was intended for decorative use or as a catch-all (jewellery, accessories, toiletries). Today, it can find its place on a chest of drawers, a shelf, or in a wall composition. A beautiful antique decorative object, both elegant and accessible, a testament to Parisian taste from the early 20th century. Dimensions: 29 cm X 21 cm.
