Drum coffee table and its 4 nesting stools in Chinese lacquered wood - Jin

Genuine vintage Chinoiserie-style set consisting of a round "drum" coffee table and its 4 matching garden barrel-shaped stools. Made in the second half of the 20th century by the renowned Beijing Gold Inlaid Lacquer Furniture Factory under the prestigious Jinlong (Golden Dragon) brand. This set is a masterpiece of functionality and craftsmanship: the central table doubles as a storage chest. With its removable panels, the 4 stools can be nested and completely hidden inside for total space-saving and a streamlined design for everyday use. The furniture is made of deep vermilion lacquered wood, entirely adorned with intricate hand-painted decorations: scrolls, foliage, and golden and white flowers. The table top features a stunning central medallion with a lotus motif surrounded by geometric friezes. The finishes include beautiful metal details (golden rivets and ring handles). The original labels from the manufacturer are still present under the furniture. The set is 100% complete, which is becoming rare for this model. Ideal for adding a touch of chic exoticism, Hollywood Regency, or curiosity cabinet to a modern living room. It fits wonderfully in small spaces thanks to its nesting system.
