Wooden Yew and Brass Bedside Tables, Set of 2

Elegant pair of English bedside tables inspired by traditional British country furniture, a style originally designed for officers travelling across the Empire. Made from richly toned yew wood, each piece features a well-balanced front with two upper drawers above a larger lower compartment, equipped with flush brass handles and side brass grips. The cabinets rest on sturdy square feet connected by stretchers, giving them both architectural presence and visual lightness. The tops showcase lovely figures that complement books, adding subtle movement to an otherwise understated design. Produced in the mid-20th century, these pieces reflect a time when historical forms were reinterpreted for refined domestic interiors, offering the romance of country furniture without excessive ornamentation. Ideal as bedside tables, side tables, or accent pieces in a library or office. Please examine the photos carefully to assess the condition of the item before purchasing.
