Bookends BIRDS Art Deco Alabaster Marble Vintage Italian Sculpture

Pair of vintage Art Deco bookends (circa 1920 / 1930) featuring stylised birds. Magnificent handcrafted work of sculpture in genuine polished two-tone alabaster (white/cream and grey-blue). The geometric and streamlined lines are typical of the modernist period and the production of Italian workshops (such as Volterra).
