6x Børge Mogensen Early J39 Chairs in Oak, 1963

Set of Six ‘J39’ Dining Chairs by Børge Mogensen. Designed in 1947 by Børge Mogensen for FDB Møbler, Denmark. This early production set from 1964 is crafted in solid oak and papercord seats, showcasing a beautifully aged dark patina that highlights the natural grain and warmth of the wood. The iconic J39, also known as the “People’s Chair, ” exemplifies Mogensen’s dedication to functional craftsmanship and honest materials—combining Shaker-inspired simplicity with timeless Danish modern design.
