Charming 1950s floor lamp, combining lighting and storage in a single clever object. The structure made of black lacquered steel extends with a curved arm supporting the lampshade, while a wooden shelf provides a practical surface (for a book, glass, phone). Below, a curved metal magazine rack with zigzag graphic lines elegantly completes the ensemble. An iconic piece of post-war French design, in the spirit of the art metal workshops of the time (Mathieu Matégot, Raymond Subes), perfect for a living room or reading nook. The floor lamp is height adjustable and the lampshade can be oriented. The lampshade is original. The yellow trim has been replaced to reinforce it. Height from 133 to 170 cm. Lampshade diameter 40 cm. Shelf dimensions 25*45 cm Shelf height 52 cm. In good condition with minimal signs of use and age.
