"Toio" floor lamp – Design by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos

Sell a masterpiece of Italian and international design: the Toio floor lamp, designed in 1962 by the famous brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for the publisher Flos. This luminaire is the perfect illustration of the ready-made concept in design, ingeniously combining repurposed industrial objects: a car headlight (300W) originally imported from the United States, fishing rod guides for the cable, and an exposed transformer that serves as a counterweight to stabilise the structure. Some very light signs of use or discreet paint chips are to be noted on the edges of the red metallic base, which attest to its authenticity and give it a superb vintage patina.
