Antique jewellery box in Longwy enamel – polychrome floral decoration – model 3033. Elegant round box in glazed earthenware from the famous Longwy Enamels, handcrafted and decorated in France in the mid-20th century. This refined piece features the model referenced “shape 3033” and the numbered decoration “5900”, characteristic of Longwy's artisanal productions from the 1950s to 1970s. The lid reveals a delicate polychrome floral bouquet on a cracked ivory background, framed by a cobalt blue and turquoise frieze enhanced with red cabochons. The rim is adorned with a continuous floral decoration in vibrant colours. The cloisonné enamel work, emblematic of the Longwy factory, offers a rich chromatic palette and beautiful depth. Markings under the base: “Hand decorated – Emaux de Longwy – France” “Hand enhanced” Shape 3033 / Decoration 5900. A very beautiful decorative object, perfect as a jewellery box, sweet box, or curiosity cabinet. Very good vintage condition. Some slight signs of age under the base, consistent with its antiquity.
