An important Jugendstil seating group designed in 1906 by Josef Hoffmann, one of the most influential architects and designers of the early 20th century and co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte. Manufactured by Josef Kohn, Vienna, a leading producer of bentwood furniture of the period. The set represents a rare and well-documented example of early modern seating design created for refined interiors of the Viennese Jugendstil movement.
