Large hammered wrought iron floor lamp, brutalist style, mid-20th century.

Magnificent large antique floor lamp in hammered wrought iron, with a brutalist and artisanal character. A particularly decorative piece featuring a fully crafted metal structure, with an imposing central square-section shaft, twisted elements, metal rings, and a superb tripod base adorned with large wrought iron scrolls. The structure exhibits a beautiful old patina in shades of black, anthracite grey, and metallic grey, with natural signs of wear that highlight the metalwork and the reliefs of the hammering. The overall aesthetic is very sculptural, typical of certain French decorative ironwork productions from the mid-20th century, in a brutalist/popular art spirit. Estimated period: mid-20th century, probably 1940–1960. Origin: unidentified. The piece is not signed to my knowledge, and I do not wish to attribute it to a manufacturer or designer without proof. The electrical system is present, and the lamp is currently equipped with a socket allowing for the use of a standard bulb. An electrical check is recommended before use. The current lampshade is included with the floor lamp. A rare and highly decorative piece, particularly suited to a vintage, brutalist, chic country, character home, or contemporary decor. The structure, particularly massive and crafted, constitutes the main interest of this piece.
