Large Ceramano vase in ceramic with a handle, Pergamon decor, model 207, from the 1960s. It bears the inscriptions "207 - Ceramano - W.-Germany - Handarbeit - Pergame" under its base. The "Pergamon" decor, created by Hans Welling, artistic director of Ceramano from 1959 to 1961, is inspired by the art of ancient Greece. It features stylised horses, horsemen, and meanders engraved in the ceramic and then enhanced with paint. On a black base, the decorations are blue, orange, and white. The interior glaze is green. Founded in 1959, Ceramano is one of the most iconic ceramic manufacturers in West Germany. Its creations from the 1960s, particularly the models designed by Hans Welling, are now sought after by collectors of German ceramics. Some wear and small losses of glaze, visible in the photographs. Excellent condition. Dimensions: Diameter: 30 cm; Height: 29 cm.
