Rotaflex is an innovative plastic material made of wrapped cellulose acetate threads. Light and translucent, it diffuses light softly and gives the suspension a very characteristic ribbed relief. Developed in the 1950s by the Atelier de Recherche Plastique, it is part of the research conducted around new materials by Pierre Guariche, Joseph-André Motte, and Michel Mortier. Adjustable height. Bayonet socket. Edition: Rotaflex, France, circa 1960.
