Rare French Art Deco Pendant Light|Illustrated Dog Countryside Shade.Charming French Art Deco style hanging ceiling light featuring a distinctive square lampshade with elegantly folded-edge styling. The shade is beautifully decorated in warm shades of orange and turquoise, creating a vibrant mid-century feel. Each of the four sides displays a delightful countryside scene of two dogs gazing curiously upward at a bee, adding a whimsical and characterful touch. The shade is suspended from an aged brass gallery shade fitter, secured in place with three original holding screws that enhance its authentic vintage appeal. It is fitted with a gold French braided flex, complementing the warm tones of the brass and completing the period look. The lamp holder is wired with gold twin core French wiring and has a large bayonet bulb holder B22. The shade is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few small nibbles to the lower edge and some areas of paint loss on the orange part consistent with age and use. The brass fittings display an attractive age-related patina, enhancing the piece's authentic vintage charm and character. There is a makers name stamped on the top of the shade which is hard to make out due to fading over time. There is no ceiling fitter with this light.
